तेषां भावमथ ज्ञात्वा देवदेवोऽम्बिकापतिः ।। विहस्य कृपया देवाञ्छंभुस्तानिदमब्रवीत् ।। १६ ।।

sanskrit

On knowing what was passing through their minds, Śiva, the lord of the gods, the consort of Pārvatī sympathised with the gods and laughingly said.

english translation

teSAM bhAvamatha jJAtvA devadevo'mbikApatiH || vihasya kRpayA devAJchaMbhustAnidamabravIt || 16 ||
