बुद्धिमोहं तथाभूतं विष्णो र्मायाविनिर्मितम् ।। तेषां दत्त्वा क्षणादेव कृतार्थोऽभूत्स नारदः ।। ६१ ।।

sanskrit

Blessing them with the utter delusion of their intellect, perpetrated by the illusion of Viṣṇu, Nārada became contented.

english translation

buddhimohaM tathAbhUtaM viSNo rmAyAvinirmitam || teSAM dattvA kSaNAdeva kRtArtho'bhUtsa nAradaH || 61 ||

नारदोपि तथारूपो यथा मायी तथैव सः ।। तथापि विकृतो नाभूत्परमेशादनुग्रहात् ।।६२।।

sanskrit

Though Nārada and the heretic sage had been in that guise for long, they were not defiled, thanks to the benediction of lord Śiva.

english translation

nAradopi tathArUpo yathA mAyI tathaiva saH || tathApi vikRto nAbhUtparamezAdanugrahAt ||62||

आसीत्कुंठितसामर्थ्यो दैत्यराजोऽपि भो मुने ।। भ्रातृभ्यां सहितस्तत्र मयेन च शिवेच्छया ।। ६३ ।।

sanskrit

As Śiva willed, O sage, the capacity of the ruler of the Asuras became stunted and thwarted as also of his brothers and Maya.

english translation

AsItkuMThitasAmarthyo daityarAjo'pi bho mune || bhrAtRbhyAM sahitastatra mayena ca zivecchayA || 63 ||
