न हिंसासदृशं पापं त्रैलोक्ये सचराचरे ॥ हिंसको नरकं गच्छेत्स्वर्गं गच्छेदहिंसकः ॥ 2.5.5.२० ॥

There is no sin equal to violence in the three worlds, consisting of the mobile and immobile. A person who afflicts others violently goes to hell. A non-violent man goes to heaven.

na hiMsAsadRzaM pApaM trailokye sacarAcare ॥ hiMsako narakaM gacchetsvargaM gacchedahiMsakaH ॥ 2.5.5.20 ॥
