देवदुःखं ततः श्रुत्वा दत्तं च त्रिपुरालये ।। ज्ञात्वा व्रतं च तेषां तद्विष्णुर्वचनमब्रवीत् ।।१२।।

On hearing the distress of the gods as well as the vows observed by the Tripuras, Viṣṇu spoke as follows.

devaduHkhaM tataH zrutvA dattaM ca tripurAlaye || jJAtvA vrataM ca teSAM tadviSNurvacanamabravIt ||12||
