देवा ऊचुः ।। पराजिता महादेव भ्रातृभ्यां सहितेन तु ।। भगवंस्तारकोत्पन्नैः सर्वे देवास्सवासवाः ।। ५८ ।।

sanskrit

The gods said: O lord Śiva, the gods including Indra have been defeated by the Asura accompanied by his brothers. O lord, all the gods have been defeated by the sons of Tāraka.

english translation

devA UcuH || parAjitA mahAdeva bhrAtRbhyAM sahitena tu || bhagavaMstArakotpannaiH sarve devAssavAsavAH || 58 ||
