देवा ऊचुः ॥ पराजिता महादेव भ्रातृभ्यां सहितेन तु ॥ भगवंस्तारकोत्पन्नैः सर्वे देवास्सवासवाः ॥ ५८ ॥

sanskrit

The gods said: O lord Śiva, the gods including Indra have been defeated by the Asura accompanied by his brothers. O lord, all the gods have been defeated by the sons of Tāraka.

english translation

devA UcuH ॥ parAjitA mahAdeva bhrAtRbhyAM sahitena tu ॥ bhagavaMstArakotpannaiH sarve devAssavAsavAH ॥ 58 ॥
