पलद्वययुतं तत्र मानमेतत्पुरातनम् ॥ यवपूजा च मुनिभिः स्वर्गसौख्यविवर्द्धिनी ॥ ४८ ॥

sanskrit

That (measure) is traditionally considered to be two palas (units of weight); this is the ancient standard. And the worship with barley (Yavapūjā) is said by the sages to increase heavenly bliss.

english translation

paladvayayutaM tatra mAnametatpurAtanam ॥ yavapUjA ca munibhiH svargasaukhyavivarddhinI ॥ 48 ॥
