सर्वदेवमयो देवस्सर्वेषां मे कुहेलया॥ असंभवे रथे तिष्ठन् सर्वोपस्करणान्विते ॥ ५१ ॥
O Brahmā, when these cities are joined together, the lord who embodies all the gods sitting in a wonderful chariot containing all necessary adjuncts, may, in his distorted sport, discharge a wonderful single arrow and pierce our cities.
english translation
sarvadevamayo devassarveSAM me kuhelayA॥ asaMbhave rathe tiSThan sarvopaskaraNAnvite ॥ 51 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअसंभाव्यैककांडेन भिनत्तु नगराणि नः ॥ निर्वैरः कृत्तिवासास्तु योस्माकमिति नित्यशः ॥ ५२ । ।
Lord Śiva is free from enmity with us. He is worthy of our worship and respect.
english translation
asaMbhAvyaikakAMDena bhinattu nagarANi naH ॥ nirvairaH kRttivAsAstu yosmAkamiti nityazaH ॥ 52 । ।
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवंद्यः पूज्योभिवाद्यश्च सोस्माकं निर्दहेत्कथम् ॥ इति चेतसि संधाय तादृशो भुवि दुर्लभः ॥ ५३ ॥
How can he burn us? This is what we think in our minds. A person like him is difficult to get in the world.
english translation
vaMdyaH pUjyobhivAdyazca sosmAkaM nirdahetkatham ॥ iti cetasi saMdhAya tAdRzo bhuvi durlabhaH ॥ 53 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसनत्कुमार उवाच ॥ एतच्छ्रुत्वा वचस्तेषां ब्रह्मा लोकपितामहः ॥ एवमस्तीति तान् प्राह सृष्टिकर्ता स्मरञ्शिवम् ॥५४॥
Sanatkumāra said: On hearing their words, Brahmā, the grandfather and creator of the worlds remembered Śiva and told them “Let it be so.”
english translation
sanatkumAra uvAca ॥ etacchrutvA vacasteSAM brahmA lokapitAmahaH ॥ evamastIti tAn prAha sRSTikartA smaraJzivam ॥54॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआज्ञां ददौ मयस्यापि कुत्र त्वं नगरत्रयम् ॥ कांचनं राजतं चैव आयसं चेति भो मय ॥५५॥
He ordered : Maya O Maya, build three cities, one of gold, another of silver and a third one of steel.
english translation
AjJAM dadau mayasyApi kutra tvaM nagaratrayam ॥ kAMcanaM rAjataM caiva AyasaM ceti bho maya ॥55॥
