षण्मुखश्च प्रियतमो गणेशश्च तथैव च॥ इति चिंतासमुद्विग्नौ लीलानन्दौ बभूवतुः॥2-4-19-१०॥
The sixfaced lord Kārttikeya was their great beloved son. Gaṇeśa too was likewise. Thinking thus they were worried as well as delighted.
