ततश्च तद्वचः श्रुत्वाद्भुतलीलो महेश्वरः ॥ विनिर्भर्त्स्य गणानूचे निजाँल्लोकगतिर्मुने ॥ ११ ॥
O sage, on hearing their words, lord Śiva of wonderful divine sports, following the worldly conventions rebuked his Gaṇas.
english translation
महेश्वर उवाच ॥ कश्चायं वर्तते किं च ब्रवीत्यरिवदुच्छ्रितः ॥ किं करिष्यत्यसद्बुद्धिः स्वमृत्युं वांछति ध्रुवम् ॥१२॥
Lord Śiva said: Who is this fellow? What does he say? He is standing there haughtily as though he is our enemy. What will that wicked knave do? Certainly he wants to die.
english translation
दूरतः क्रियतां ह्येष द्रारपालो नवीनकः॥ क्लीबा इव स्थितास्तस्य वृत्तं वदथ मे कथम् ॥१३॥
Why? Are you dastardly eunuchs to stand here helplessly and complain to me about him. Let this new doorkeeper be thrown out.
english translation
स्वामिनोक्ता गणास्ते चाद्भुतलीलेन शंभुना ॥ पुनरागत्य तत्रैव तमूचुर्द्वारपालकम् ॥ १४ ॥
Brahmā said: Thus commanded by lord Śiva of wonderful sports the Gaṇas returned to the place and spoke to the doorkeeper.
english translation
॥ शिवगणा ऊचुः ॥ रे रे द्वारप कस्त्वं हि स्थितश्च स्थापितः कुतः ॥ नैवास्मान्गाणयस्येवं कथं जीवितुमिच्छसि ॥१५॥
Śiva’s Gaṇas said: O gatekeeper, who are you standing here? Why have you been stationed here? Why don’t you care for us. How can you thus remain alive?
