षष्ठ्याद्यमाश्च तिथयो नवम्यर्कदिने तथा ॥ वर्ज्यास्सुरर्षयो यत्नाद्भक्तेन रदधावने ॥८॥
O celestial sages, the Tithis of Ṣaṣṭhī, navamī as well as new moon days and sundays are forbidden for cleaning the teeth with tooth brush twigs.
