कुर्यादारार्तिकं पञ्चवर्तिकामनुसंख्यया ।। पादयोश्च चतुर्वारं द्विःकृत्वो नाभिमण्डले ।। ७१ ।।

Light shall be waved four times at the feet; twice in the umbilical region, once near the face and seven times over the whole body.

english translation

When performing the offering once, offer it around the face seven times and the whole body. Then, as per the prescribed method, one should meditate and chant the mantras with devotion.

english translation

ekakRtve mukhe saptakRtvaH sarvAGgaM eva hi || tato dhyAnaM yathoktaM vai kRtvA maMtramudIrayet || 72 ||

यथासंख्यं यथाज्ञानं कुर्यान्मंत्रविधिन्नरः ।। गुरूपदिष्टमार्गेण कृत्वा मंत्रजपं सुधीः ।। ७३ ।।

The devotee should perform the chanting of the mantras according to the number and knowledge given. He should follow the path taught by the Guru and perform the mantra japa (repetition of mantras) with intelligence.

The deity Śiva shall be eulogised lovingly with various hymns. Then the devotee shall circumambulate around Śiva by and by.
