दीपो देयस्ततस्तस्मै शंकराय घृतप्लुतः ॥ अर्घं दद्यात्पुनस्तस्मै मंत्रेणानेन भक्तितः ॥६७॥
After that, an oil lamp should be offered to Lord Shiva, bathed in ghee. Then, an offering of water (Arghya) should be given to him with the proper mantra, in a spirit of devotion.
