द्वारपालं सदा द्वारि तिष्ठंतं च महोदरम् ।। पूजयित्वा ततः पश्चात्पूजयेद्गिरिजां सतीम् ।।३१।।

The big-bellied Gaṇeśa, the gate-keeper of the lord, shall be worshipped. Goddess Satī, Girijā shall be worshipped then.

dvArapAlaM sadA dvAri tiSThaMtaM ca mahodaram || pUjayitvA tataH pazcAtpUjayedgirijAM satIm ||31||

चंदनैः कुंकुमैश्चैव धूपैर्दीपैरनेकशः ।। नैवेद्यैर्विविधैश्चैव पूजयित्वा ततश्शिवम्।।३२।।

With sandalwood paste, kumkuma, incense, and many lamps, and with a variety of food offerings (naivedya), one should worship Lord Shiva thoroughly.

caMdanaiH kuMkumaizcaiva dhUpairdIpairanekazaH || naivedyairvividhaizcaiva pUjayitvA tatazzivam||32||

नमस्कृत्य पुनस्तत्र गच्छेच्च शिवसन्निधौ।। यदि गेहे पार्थिवीं वा हैमीं वा राजतीं तथा ।। ३३ ।।

Having offered salutations once more, one should return again into the presence of Lord Shiva — whether He is established in one's home as an image made of clay, gold, or silver.

namaskRtya punastatra gacchecca zivasannidhau|| yadi gehe pArthivIM vA haimIM vA rAjatIM tathA || 33 ||

धातुजन्यां तथैवान्यां पारदां वा प्रकल्पयेत् ।। नमस्कृत्य पुनस्तां च पूजयेद्भक्तितत्परः ।।३४।।

One may consecrate an image of Shiva made from metal, other materials, or even sacred mercury (pārada). Having bowed down to it, one should again and again worship it, being fully absorbed in devotion.

dhAtujanyAM tathaivAnyAM pAradAM vA prakalpayet || namaskRtya punastAM ca pUjayedbhaktitatparaH ||34||

तस्यां तु पूजितायां वै सर्वे स्युः पूजितास्तदा ।। स्थापयेच्च मृदा लिंगं विधाय विधिपूर्वकम् ।।३५।।

When that (form of Shiva) is worshipped, then all the gods are worshipped as well. One should establish a Shiva Linga made of clay, following the proper rituals and procedures.
