तत्पीडितस्ते शरणमागतोऽहं सुदुःखितः ॥ पलायमानो देवेश शरजन्मन्दयां कुरु ॥ ६ ॥
Afflicted by him I have run from him and sought refuge in you. O lord of gods, born amongst the reeds, be merciful.
english translation
tatpIDitaste zaraNamAgato'haM suduHkhitaH ॥ palAyamAno deveza zarajanmandayAM kuru ॥ 6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदैत्यं तं नाशय विभो बाणाह्वं मां सुखीकुरु ॥ दैत्यघ्नस्त्वं विशेषेण देवावनकरस्स्वराट् ॥ ७ ॥
O lord, please slay the Asura Bāṇa. Make me happy. You are the slayer of Asuras and a special saviour of the gods. You are a self-ruler.
english translation
daityaM taM nAzaya vibho bANAhvaM mAM sukhIkuru ॥ daityaghnastvaM vizeSeNa devAvanakarassvarAT ॥ 7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptब्रह्मोवाच ॥ इति क्रौंचस्तुतस्स्कन्दः प्रसन्नो भक्तपालकः ॥ गृहीत्वा शक्तिमतुलां स्वां सस्मार शिवो धिया ॥८॥
Brahmā said: Skanda who was thus eulogised by Krauñca became delighted. He, the saviour of the devotees, took up his matchless spear and remembered Śiva.
english translation
brahmovAca ॥ iti krauMcastutasskandaH prasanno bhaktapAlakaH ॥ gRhItvA zaktimatulAM svAM sasmAra zivo dhiyA ॥8॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचिक्षेप तां समुद्दिश्य स बाणं शंकरात्मजः ॥ महाशब्दो बभूवाथ जज्वलुश्च दिशो नभः ॥९॥
The son of Śiva hurled the spear aiming at Bāṇa. It gave loud report, blazing forth the quarters and the sky.
english translation
cikSepa tAM samuddizya sa bANaM zaMkarAtmajaH ॥ mahAzabdo babhUvAtha jajvaluzca dizo nabhaH ॥9॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसबलं भस्मसात्कृत्वासुरं तं क्षणमात्रतः ॥ गुहोपकंठं शक्तिस्सा जगाम परमा मुने ॥2-4-11-१ ०॥
O sage, reducing the Asuras to ashes along with his army in a trice, the great spear returned to Kumāra.

sabalaM bhasmasAtkRtvAsuraM taM kSaNamAtrataH ॥ guhopakaMThaM zaktissA jagAma paramA mune ॥2-4-11-1 0॥
