निर्जरान् पृष्ठतः कृत्वा शिवकोपोद्भवो बली।। तत्सम्मुखो बभूवाथ योद्धुकामो गणाग्रणीः ।।८।।

sanskrit

The leader of the Gaṇas, the strong one born of the anger of Śiva, kept the gods in the rear and faced Tāraka desirous of fighting him.

english translation

nirjarAn pRSThataH kRtvA zivakopodbhavo balI|| tatsammukho babhUvAtha yoddhukAmo gaNAgraNIH ||8||
