मही महारौद्रतरा विनष्टकैस्सुरासुरैर्वै पतितैरनेकशः ।। तस्मिन्नगम्यातिभयानका तदा जाता महासौख्यवहा मनस्विनाम् ।। ४१ ।।

sanskrit

The battle ground became impassable and awful with the corpses of the gods and Asuras lying there in thousands but it was very pleasing to the brave.

english translation

mahI mahAraudratarA vinaSTakaissurAsurairvai patitairanekazaH || tasminnagamyAtibhayAnakA tadA jAtA mahAsaukhyavahA manasvinAm || 41 ||
