शंभोस्तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा समालोच्य परस्परम् ।। ऊचुस्सर्वे क्रमेणैव त्रस्तास्तु पुरतः प्रभोः।।११।।

Brahmā said: On hearing the words of Śiva and after consulting one another they replied one by one. They were so afraid of the great lord.

english translation

zaMbhostadvacanaM zrutvA samAlocya parasparam || Ucussarve krameNaiva trastAstu purataH prabhoH||11||

विष्णुरुवाच ।। ते मिथ्यावादिनस्संतु भारते गुरुदारिकाः ।। गुरुनिन्दारताश्शश्वत्त्वद्वीर्यं यैश्च निह्नुतम् ।।१२।।

Viṣṇu said: Let those who have concealed your semen incur the sins of those who utter lies, of those who outrage the modesty of preceptor’s wife, and of those who are engaged in insulting the preceptor always.

viSNuruvAca || te mithyAvAdinassaMtu bhArate gurudArikAH || gurunindAratAzzazvattvadvIryaM yaizca nihnutam ||12||

ब्रह्मोवाच ।। त्वद्वीर्यं निह्नुतं येन पुण्यक्षेत्रे च भारते ।। स नाऽन्वितो भवेत्तत्र सेवने पूजने तव ।। १३ ।।

Brahmā said: Let him who has concealed your semen anywhere in the holy centres of Bhārata be debarred from the privilege of serving or worshipping you.

english translation

brahmovAca || tvadvIryaM nihnutaM yena puNyakSetre ca bhArate || sa nA'nvito bhavettatra sevane pUjane tava || 13 ||

लोकपाला ऊचुः ।। त्वदवीर्यं निह्नुतं येन पापिना पतितभ्रमात् ।। भाजनं तस्य सोत्यन्तं तत्तपं कर्म संततिम् ।।१४।।

The guardians of the quarters said: Let him who has concealed your semen suffer continuously from the pang as a result of that sinful action.

lokapAlA UcuH || tvadavIryaM nihnutaM yena pApinA patitabhramAt || bhAjanaM tasya sotyantaM tattapaM karma saMtatim ||14||

देवा ऊचुः ।। कृत्वा प्रतिज्ञां यो मूढो नाऽऽपादयति पूर्णताम् ।। भाजनं तस्य पापस्य त्वद्वीर्यं येन निह्नुतम् ।। १५ ।।

The gods said: Let him who has concealed your semen incur the sin of that stupid person who does not fulfil the promise he himself has made.

devA UcuH || kRtvA pratijJAM yo mUDho nA''pAdayati pUrNatAm || bhAjanaM tasya pApasya tvadvIryaM yena nihnutam || 15 ||
