पुरोहितं चकारासौ विश्वामित्रं शुचेस्सुत ॥ तदारभ्य द्विजवरो नानालीलाविशारदः ॥१६॥
The son of Agni made Viśvāmitra his priest. Form that time onwards he became a great brahmin and an expert in divine sports of various sorts.
english translation
purohitaM cakArAsau vizvAmitraM zucessuta ॥ tadArabhya dvijavaro nAnAlIlAvizAradaH ॥16॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइत्थं लीला कृता तेन कथिता सा मया मुने ॥ तल्लीलामपरां तात शृणु प्रीत्या वदाम्यहम् ॥ १७ ॥
O sage, the very first sport that he performed thus has been narrated to you by me. O dear, listen to another sport of his with wonder. I shall narrate it to you.
english translation
itthaM lIlA kRtA tena kathitA sA mayA mune ॥ tallIlAmaparAM tAta zRNu prItyA vadAmyaham ॥ 17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्मिन्नवसरे तात श्वेतनामा च संप्रति ॥ तत्राऽपश्यत्सुतं दिव्यं निजं परम पावनम् ॥ १८ ॥
At that time he was known as white in colour. Agni went there and seeing his son who was divine and very holy called him “O dear son.”
english translation
tasminnavasare tAta zvetanAmA ca saMprati ॥ tatrA'pazyatsutaM divyaM nijaM parama pAvanam ॥ 18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततस्तं पावको गत्वा दृष्ट्वालिंग्य चुचुम्ब च ॥ पुत्रेति चोक्त्वा तस्मै स शस्त्रं शक्तिन्ददौ च सः ॥ १९ ॥
Agni embraced and kissed him too. He gave him a miraculous weapon, spear.
english translation
tatastaM pAvako gatvA dRSTvAliMgya cucumba ca ॥ putreti coktvA tasmai sa zastraM zaktindadau ca saH ॥ 19 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptगुहस्तां शक्तिमादाय तच्छृंगं चारुरोह ह ॥ तं जघान तया शक्त्या शृंगो भुवि पपात सः ॥2-4-3-२०॥
Guha took the spear and ascended the peak. He hit the peak with his spear and the peak fell down.
english translation
guhastAM zaktimAdAya tacchRMgaM cAruroha ha ॥ taM jaghAna tayA zaktyA zRMgo bhuvi papAta saH ॥2-4-3-20॥
