गंगयाऽपि च तद्वीर्यं दुस्सहं परमात्मनः ॥ निःक्षिप्तं हि शरस्तंबे तरंगैः स्वैर्मुनीश्वर ॥६६॥
O great sage, the intolerable semen of lord Śiva was deposited by Gaṅgā in the forest of Śara grass by means of its waves.
english translation
पतितं तत्र तद्रेतो द्रुतं बालो बभूव ह ॥ सुन्दरस्सुभगः श्रीमांस्तेजस्वी प्रीतिवर्द्धनः ॥ ६७ ॥
The semen that fell was turned in a handsome good-featured boy, full of glory and splendour. He increased everyone’s pleasure.
english translation
मार्गमासे सिते पक्षे तिथौ षष्ठ्यां मुनीश्वर ॥ प्रादुर्भावोऽभवत्तस्य शिवपुत्रस्य भूतले ॥ ६८ ॥
O great sage, on the sixth day of the bright half of the lunar month of Mārgaśīrṣa, the son of Śiva was born in the world.
english translation
तस्मिन्नवसरे ब्रह्मन्न कस्माद्धिम शैलजा ॥ अभूतः सुखिनौ तत्र स्वगिरौ गिरिशोऽपि च ॥६९॥
At that time, O Brahmin, on their mountain, Pārvatī the daughter of Himavat and Śiva became very happy.
english translation
शिवाकुचाभ्यां सुस्राव पय आनन्दसंभवम् ॥ तत्र गत्वा च सर्वेषां सुखमासीन्मुनेऽधिकम् ॥ 2-4-2-७० ॥
Out of joy, milk exuded from the breasts of Pārvatī. On reaching the spot everyone felt very happy.
