रे रे शठ महादुष्ट दुष्टानां दुष्टबोधवान् ॥ अभक्षश्शिववीर्यं यन्नाकार्षीरुचितं हि तत् ॥ २१ ॥
It is neither proper nor beneficent to you to have eaten up Śiva’s semen. You are a rogue, a wretched vile, paying heed to the wicked counsel of the wicked.
english translation
॥ ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ इति शप्त्वा शिवा वह्निं सहेशेन नगात्मजा ॥ जगाम स्वालयं शीघ्रमसंतुष्टा ततो मुने ॥ २२ ॥
Brahmā said: After cursing the fire thus, O sage, Pārvatī, the daughter of the mountain, immediately returned to her apartment along with Śiva, dissatisfied that she was.
english translation
गत्वा शिवा शिवं सम्यक् बोधयामास यत्नतः ॥ अजीजनत्परं पुत्रं गणेशाख्यं मुनीश्वर॥२३॥
O great sage, after returning she persistently pleaded with Śiva and bore a son named Gaṇeśa.

तद्वृत्तांतमशेषं च वर्णयिष्ये मुनेऽग्रतः॥ इदानीं शृणु सुप्रीत्या गुहोत्पत्तिं वदाम्यहम् ॥२४॥
O sage, the details of that story I shall narrate to you later on. Now listen to the story of the birth of Guha which I am going to narrate.

पावकादितमन्नादि भुंजते निर्जराः खलु ॥ वेदवाण्येति सर्वे ते सगर्भा अभवन्सुराः ॥२५॥
The gods are wont to partake of the offerings of food etc. consigned to the fire in accordance with the Vedic text. Hence the gods became pregnant.
