॥ ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ इत्युक्त्वा सकला देवा मया सह मुनीश्वर ॥ दीनास्तस्थुः पुरो विष्णोर्मौनीभूतास्सु दुःखिताः ॥ ४९ ॥

sanskrit

Brahmā said: After saying this, O great sage, all the depressed gods, stood silent along with me in front of Viṣṇu with great misery.

english translation

॥ brahmovAca ॥ ityuktvA sakalA devA mayA saha munIzvara ॥ dInAstasthuH puro viSNormaunIbhUtAssu duHkhitAH ॥ 49 ॥
