।। ब्रह्मोवाच ।। इत्थम्परस्परन्तत्र प्रशंसाभवदुत्तमा ।। उत्सवो विविधो जातो वेदसाधुजयध्वनिः ।। ११ ।।

sanskrit

Brahmā said: Thus there was mutual admiration and glorification of an enlightened nature. There was great jubilation. The sound of Vedic chant and shouts of victory were heard every where.

english translation

|| brahmovAca || itthamparasparantatra prazaMsAbhavaduttamA || utsavo vividho jAto vedasAdhujayadhvaniH || 11 ||

अभून्मङ्गलगानञ्च ननर्ताप्सरसांगणः ।। नुतिञ्चक्रुर्मागधाद्या द्रव्यदानमभूद्बहु ।। १२ ।।

sanskrit

There were auspicious songs. The celestial damsels danced. The bards sang songs of praise. There was a liberal exchange of monetary gifts.

तत आमन्त्रय देवेशं स्वगेहमगमद्गिरिः ।। भोजनोत्सवमारेभे नानाविधिविधानतः ।। १३ ।।

sanskrit

Then the mountain took leave of the lord of gods and went home. He made arrangements for a joyous feast with all paraphernalia in accordance with the rules.

english translation

tata Amantraya devezaM svagehamagamadgiriH || bhojanotsavamArebhe nAnAvidhividhAnataH || 13 ||

भोजनार्थं प्रभुम्प्रीत्यानयामास यथोचितम् ।। परिवारसमेतं च सकुतूहलमीश्वरम् ।। १४ ।।

sanskrit

He brought the lord with all his attendants and followers for the feast. He was very enthusiastic.

प्रक्षाल्य चरणौ शम्भोर्विष्णोर्मम वरादरात् ।। सर्वेषाममराणाञ्च मुनीनाञ्च यथार्थतः ।। १५ ।।

sanskrit

He washed the feet of Śiva, Viṣṇu and mine with reverence. He seated all of us, including the gods, the sages and others in the altar.
