॥ देवा ऊचुः ॥ धन्यस्त्वं स्मर सन्दग्धः शिवेनानुग्रहीकृतः ॥ जीवयामास सत्त्वांशकृपादृष्ट्या खिलेश्वरः ॥ २६ ॥
The gods said: O Kāma, you are blessed. Burnt by Śiva you have been blessed by Him. The lord of all has resuscitated you by means of his sympathetic glance, the Sāttvika part.
english translation
सुखदुःखदो न चान्योऽस्ति यतस्स्वकृतभृक् पुमान् ॥ काले रक्षा विवाहश्च निषेकः केन वार्यते ॥ २७ ॥
No man causes happiness or sorrow to another man. Man experiences the fruits of what he does. Who can ward off the destined protection, marriage or consummation at the proper time?
english translation
॥ ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ इत्युक्त्वा ते च सम्मान्य तं सुखेनामरास्तदा ॥ सन्तस्थुस्तत्र विष्ण्वाद्यास्सर्वे लब्धमनोरथाः ॥ २८ ॥
Brahmā said: After saying thus, the gods happily honoured him. Viṣṇu and other gods who had realised their desire stayed there with pleasure.
english translation
सोपि प्रमुदितस्तत्र समुवास शिवाज्ञया ॥ जयशब्दो नमश्शब्दस्साधुशब्दो बभूव ह ॥२९॥
He too remained there, at the bidding of Śiva, with great delight. There were shouts of “Victory” “Obeisance” and “well-done”.
english translation
ततश्शम्भुर्वासगेहे वामे संस्थाप्य पार्वतीम् ॥ मिष्टान्नं भोजयामास तं च सा च मुदान्विता ॥ 2-3-51-३० ॥
At the bed-chamber Śiva placed Pārvatī on His left side and fed her with sweets. She too delightedly fed him with sweets in return.
