ततश्चंदनपुष्पादि रोपणीयं शिवोपरि ॥ दापयेत्प्रणवेनैव मुखवासादिकं तथा ॥ ६६ ॥
Sandal paste shall be applied to the deity and flowers placed over the idol. Sweet smelling cloves etc. shall be offered with Praṇava.
english translation
tatazcaMdanapuSpAdi ropaNIyaM zivopari ॥ dApayetpraNavenaiva mukhavAsAdikaM tathA ॥ 66 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः स्फटिकसंकाशं देवं निष्कलमक्षयम् ॥ कारणं सर्वलोकानां सर्वलोकमयं परम् ॥ ६७ ॥
Then, the deity, whose form is like crystal, free from all impurities, imperishable, and the cause of all worlds, is the supreme being pervading all realms of existence.
english translation
tataH sphaTikasaMkAzaM devaM niSkalamakSayam ॥ kAraNaM sarvalokAnAM sarvalokamayaM param ॥ 67 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptब्रह्मेन्द्रोपेन्द्रविष्ण्वाद्यैरपि देवैरगोचरम् ॥ वेदविद्भिर्हि वेदांते त्वगोचर मिति स्मृतम् ॥ ६८ ॥
Even the great deities like Brahma, Indra, Vishnu, and others are beyond reach for those who are not attuned to the divine, and the Vedic scholars affirm that the supreme knowledge is beyond them.
english translation
brahmendropendraviSNvAdyairapi devairagocaram ॥ vedavidbhirhi vedAMte tvagocara miti smRtam ॥ 68 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआदिमध्यान्तरहितं भेषजं सर्वरोगिणाम् ॥ शिवतत्त्वमिति ख्यातं शिवलिंगं व्यवस्थितम् ॥ ६९ ॥
Free from the limitations of time—past, present, and future—the essence of healing for all illnesses is the revered Shiva, known as Shiva-tattva, established in the form of the Shiva-linga.
english translation
AdimadhyAntarahitaM bheSajaM sarvarogiNAm ॥ zivatattvamiti khyAtaM zivaliMgaM vyavasthitam ॥ 69 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रणवेनैव मंत्रेण पूजयेल्लिंगमूर्द्धनि ॥ धूपैर्दीपैश्च नैवैद्यैस्ताम्बूलैः सुन्दरैस्तथा ॥ 2-1-11-७० ॥
By the sacred syllable 'Om' and the proper chanting of the mantras, one should worship the Shiva-linga, placed on the head. Offerings of incense, lights, food, and betel leaves should be made, all beautifully arranged.
