शूद्रो नवागुलं कुर्यादिति मानमिदं स्मृतम् ।। कालदोषं विचार्य्यैव मनुदृष्टं विवर्जयेत् ।।२६।।

A Shudra should make the offering of a nine-fold grain measure; this is the standard that is remembered in the scriptures. However, considering the time and circumstances, one should avoid the practices that are perceived as erroneous, as per the teachings of Manu.

english translation

zUdro navAgulaM kuryAditi mAnamidaM smRtam || kAladoSaM vicAryyaiva manudRSTaM vivarjayet ||26||
