व्याधोपि तद्दिनान्नूनं भोगान्स सुरसत्तम ॥ भुक्त्वा रामकृपां प्राप्य शिवसायुज्यमाप्तवान् ॥ ९६ ॥
From that day onwards the hunter attained godly pleasures and being favoured by the god attained Sāyujya salvation with Śiva.
english translation
अज्ञानात्स व्रतञ्चैतत्कृत्वा सायुज्यमाप्तवान् ॥ किं पुनर्भक्तिसंपन्ना यान्ति तन्मयतां शुभाम्॥ ९७॥
Even after performing this rite in utter ignorance he attained Sāyujya; what about those who are endowed with devotion? They will surely attain complete identity with the lord.

विचार्य्य सर्वशास्त्राणि धर्मांश्चैवाप्यनेकशः॥ शिवरात्रिव्रतमिदं सर्वोत्कृष्टं प्रकीर्तितम्॥ ९८॥
After considering all Śāstras, and the sacred rites enjoined by these Śivarātrivrata, has been glorified as the most excellent.

व्रतानि विविधान्यत्र तीर्थानि विविधानि च ॥ दानानि च विचित्राणि मखाश्च विविधास्तथा ॥ ९९॥

तपांसि विविधान्येव जपाश्चैवाप्य नेकशः ॥ नैतेन समतां यान्ति शिवरात्रिव्रतेन च ॥ १००॥
