Shiva Purana
अज्ञानात्स व्रतञ्चैतत्कृत्वा सायुज्यमाप्तवान् ॥ किं पुनर्भक्तिसंपन्ना यान्ति तन्मयतां शुभाम्॥ ९७॥
Even after performing this rite in utter ignorance he attained Sāyujya; what about those who are endowed with devotion? They will surely attain complete identity with the lord.
english translation
ajJAnAtsa vrataJcaitatkRtvA sAyujyamAptavAn ॥ kiM punarbhaktisaMpannA yAnti tanmayatAM zubhAm॥ 97॥
