असंपूज्य शिवं भस्मरहितश्चान्नभुक् च यः ॥ एतेषां पातकं मे स्यान्नागच्छेयं पुनर्यदि ॥ ६६ ॥
He who does not worship Lord Shiva and eats food without ashes It would be a sin for me if I did not come back.
english translation
asaMpUjya zivaM bhasmarahitazcAnnabhuk ca yaH ॥ eteSAM pAtakaM me syAnnAgaccheyaM punaryadi ॥ 66 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशिव उवाच ॥ इति श्रुत्वा वचस्तस्य गच्छ शीघ्रं समाव्रज ॥ स व्याधेनैवमुक्तस्तु जलं पीत्वा गतो मृगः ॥ ६७ ॥
Sūta said:— On hearing these words the hunter said “Go and return quickly.” Thus permitted by the hunter, the hunter drank water and went away.
english translation
ziva uvAca ॥ iti zrutvA vacastasya gaccha zIghraM samAvraja ॥ sa vyAdhenaivamuktastu jalaM pItvA gato mRgaH ॥ 67 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptते सर्वे मिलितास्तत्र स्वाश्रमे कृतसुप्रणाः ॥ वृत्तांतं चैव तं सर्वं श्रुत्वा सम्यक् परस्परम्॥ ६८॥
They all met there in their hermitage and made good vows. They heard the whole story and told each other the whole story.
english translation
te sarve militAstatra svAzrame kRtasupraNAH ॥ vRttAMtaM caiva taM sarvaM zrutvA samyak parasparam॥ 68॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptगन्तव्यं निश्चयेनेति सत्यपाशेन यंत्रिताः ॥ आश्वास्य बालकांस्तत्र गन्तुमुत्कण्ठितास्तदा ॥ ६९ ॥
They were bound by the rope of truth that they must go with certainty After consoling the children they were anxious to go there.
english translation
gantavyaM nizcayeneti satyapAzena yaMtritAH ॥ AzvAsya bAlakAMstatra gantumutkaNThitAstadA ॥ 69 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमृगी ज्येष्ठा च या तत्र स्वामिनं वाक्यमब्रवीत् ॥ त्वां विना बालका ह्यत्र कथं स्थास्यंति वै मृग ॥ ७० ॥
The eldest deer there spoke to her master How can the children stay here without you, deer?
english translation
mRgI jyeSThA ca yA tatra svAminaM vAkyamabravIt ॥ tvAM vinA bAlakA hyatra kathaM sthAsyaMti vai mRga ॥ 70 ॥
