आद्ये यामे च नैवेद्यं पक्वान्नं कारयेद्बुधः ॥ अर्घं च श्रीफलं दत्त्वा ताम्बूलं च निवेदयेत् ॥ ५६ ॥
In the first 3-hour period the intelligent devotee shall make cooked rice as food-offering. Half a cocoanut, and Tāmbūla shall be offered afterwards.
english translation
Adye yAme ca naivedyaM pakvAnnaM kArayedbudhaH ॥ arghaM ca zrIphalaM dattvA tAmbUlaM ca nivedayet ॥ 56 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनमस्कारं ततो ध्यानं जपः प्रोक्तो गुरोर्मनोः ॥ अन्यथा पंचवर्णेन तोषयेत्तेन शंकरम् ॥ ५७ ॥
Obeisance and meditation shall follow and the mantra taught by the preceptor shall be used for Japa. Or the devotee shall propitiate Śiva by means of the five-syllabled mantra.
english translation
namaskAraM tato dhyAnaM japaH prokto gurormanoH ॥ anyathA paMcavarNena toSayettena zaMkaram ॥ 57 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptधेनुमुद्रां प्रदर्श्याथ सुजलैस्तर्पणं चरेत् ॥ पंचब्राह्मणभोजं च कल्पयेद्वै यथाबलम् ॥ ५८ ॥
The devotee shall exhibit the mystic gesture of cow and offer Tarpaṇa with pure water. He shall then feed five Brahmins or more in accordance with his capacity.
english translation
dhenumudrAM pradarzyAtha sujalaistarpaNaM caret ॥ paMcabrAhmaNabhojaM ca kalpayedvai yathAbalam ॥ 58 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमहोत्सवश्च कर्तव्यो यावद्यामो भवेदिह ॥ ततः पूजाफलं तस्मै निवेद्य च विसर्जयेत् ॥ ५९॥
Then till the end of that 3-hour period festivities shall be observed. After dedicating the fruit of the worship to the deity himself, the ritualistic dismissal shall be performed.
english translation
mahotsavazca kartavyo yAvadyAmo bhavediha ॥ tataH pUjAphalaM tasmai nivedya ca visarjayet ॥ 59॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुनर्द्वितीये यामे च संकल्पं सुसमा चरेत् ॥ अथवैकदैव संकल्प्य कुर्यात्पूजां तथाविधाम् ॥ ६०॥
Then in the second 3-hour period Saṃkalpa rites shall be performed duly as before. Or the Saṃkalpa rite shall be performed once for all the four 3-hour periods. Worship shall be performed as before,

punardvitIye yAme ca saMkalpaM susamA caret ॥ athavaikadaiva saMkalpya kuryAtpUjAM tathAvidhAm ॥ 60॥
