परमार्थगुरुर्दत्तः सूरिराश्रितवत्सलः ॥ सोमो रसज्ञो रसदः सर्वसत्त्वावलंबनः ॥ १३१॥
The sage Datta was the teacher of the supreme goal and he was affectionate to those who depended on him The moon is the knower of taste and the giver of taste and the support of all beings.

एवं नाम्नां सहस्रेण तुष्टाव हि हरं हरिः ॥ प्रार्थयामास शम्भुं वै पूजयामास पंकजः ॥ १३२ ॥
Thus Viṣṇu eulogised Śiva with the thousand names. Śiva was prayed to and worshipped with lotuses.

ततः स कौतुकी शम्भुश्चकार चरितं द्विजाः ॥ महाद्भुतं सुखकरं तदेव शृणुतादरात् ॥ १३३ ॥
O brahmins, then the enthusiastic Śiva performed something wonderful and pleasing. Listen to that attentively.
