नित्यं च स्वामिनं सा वै प्रार्थयद्यत्नसाधने ॥ पुत्रोत्पादनहेतोश्च सर्वविद्याविशारदम् ॥ ११ ॥
Everyday she implored her learned husband to strive for the acquisition of a son.

nityaM ca svAminaM sA vai prArthayadyatnasAdhane ॥ putrotpAdanahetozca sarvavidyAvizAradam ॥ 11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसोऽपि स्त्रियं तदा भर्त्स्य किं पुत्रश्च करिष्यति ॥ का माता कः पिता पुत्रः को बंधुश्च प्रियश्च कः ॥ १२ ॥
He too will then marry a woman and what will his son do? Who is the mother who is the father who is the son who is the brother and who is the beloved
english translation
so'pi striyaM tadA bhartsya kiM putrazca kariSyati ॥ kA mAtA kaH pitA putraH ko baMdhuzca priyazca kaH ॥ 12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसर्वं स्वार्थपरं देवि त्रिलोक्यां नात्र संशयः ॥ जानीहि त्वं विशेषेण बुद्ध्या शोकं न वै कुरु ॥ १३ ॥
Everything in the three worlds, O goddess, is undoubtedly selfish. Know that you should not grieve especially with your intelligence.
english translation
sarvaM svArthaparaM devi trilokyAM nAtra saMzayaH ॥ jAnIhi tvaM vizeSeNa buddhyA zokaM na vai kuru ॥ 13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्माद्देवि त्वया दुःखं त्यजनीयं सुनिश्चितम् ॥ नित्यं मह्यं त्वया नैव कथनीयं शुभव्रते ॥ १४ ॥
Therefore, O goddess, you should definitely give up your suffering. You should not tell me every day, O auspicious one.
english translation
tasmAddevi tvayA duHkhaM tyajanIyaM sunizcitam ॥ nityaM mahyaM tvayA naiva kathanIyaM zubhavrate ॥ 14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवं तां सन्निवार्य्यैव भगवद्धर्मतत्परः ॥ आसीत्परमसंतुष्टो द्वन्द्वदुःखं समत्यजत् ॥ १५॥
Thus he restrained her and became devoted to the dharma of the Lord. He was supremely satisfied and gave up the pain of duality.

evaM tAM sannivAryyaiva bhagavaddharmatatparaH ॥ AsItparamasaMtuSTo dvandvaduHkhaM samatyajat ॥ 15॥
