निश्चयं परमं कृत्वा बली बलविमोहितः ।। जगद्वशं हि कृतवान्रावणः परदर्पहा ।। ७४।।

sanskrit

Coming to a firm decision, the mighty Rāvaṇa, deluded of his own strength, destroyed the arrogance of his enemies and brought the whole universe under his control.

english translation

nizcayaM paramaM kRtvA balI balavimohitaH || jagadvazaM hi kRtavAnrAvaNaH paradarpahA || 74||
