पूर्ववत्स्थापयित्वा त्वं पुनरागच्छ वै सुखम् ॥ निश्चयं परमं गत्वा यथेच्छसि तथा कुरु ॥ ६६॥
You replace it as before and return happily. Decide ultimately and do as you wish.
english translation
pUrvavatsthApayitvA tvaM punarAgaccha vai sukham ॥ nizcayaM paramaM gatvA yathecchasi tathA kuru ॥ 66॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसूत उवाच ॥ इत्युक्तस्स हितं मेने रावणो विधिमोहित॥ सत्यं मत्वा मुनेर्वाक्यं कैलासमगमत्तदा ॥ ६७॥
Sūta said:— Rāvaṇa, deluded by fate, considered it beneficial when thus advised. Believing in the advice of the sage he went to Kailāsa.
english translation
sUta uvAca ॥ ityuktassa hitaM mene rAvaNo vidhimohita॥ satyaM matvA munervAkyaM kailAsamagamattadA ॥ 67॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptगत्वा तत्र समुद्धारं चक्रे तस्य गिरेस्स च ॥ तत्रस्थं चैव तत्सर्वं विपर्यस्तं परस्परम्॥ ६८॥
Reaching there he lifted up the mountain. Everything on the mountain became topsyturvy and mixed up with one another.
english translation
gatvA tatra samuddhAraM cakre tasya giressa ca ॥ tatrasthaM caiva tatsarvaM viparyastaM parasparam॥ 68॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptगिरीशोपि तदा दृष्ट्वा किं जातमिति सोब्रवीत्॥ गिरिजा च तदा शंभुं प्रत्युवाच विहस्य तम् ॥ ६९॥
On seeing it, Śiva said “What has happened?” Śivā laughed and replied.
english translation
girIzopi tadA dRSTvA kiM jAtamiti sobravIt॥ girijA ca tadA zaMbhuM pratyuvAca vihasya tam ॥ 69॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptगिरिजोवाच॥ सच्छिश्यस्य फलं जातं सम्यग्जातं तु शिष्यतः॥ शान्तात्मने सुवीराय दत्तं यदतुलं बलम् ॥ ७०॥
Śivā said:— You have got the return of favouring your disciple, indeed. Something good has happened through this disciple, now that an unequalled strength has been bestowed on a quiet soul who is a great hero.
english translation
girijovAca॥ sacchizyasya phalaM jAtaM samyagjAtaM tu ziSyataH॥ zAntAtmane suvIrAya dattaM yadatulaM balam ॥ 70॥
