तद्वनं सुन्दरं ह्यासीत्पृथिव्यां मंडले परम् ।। तदक्षयकरायोगादनावृष्टिर्न दुःखदा ।। ३१ ।।

sanskrit

The forest became very beautiful, the most excellent on the surface of the world. In view of this imperishable contact the drought was not distressing.

english translation

tadvanaM sundaraM hyAsItpRthivyAM maMDale param || tadakSayakarAyogAdanAvRSTirna duHkhadA || 31 ||

ऋषयोऽपि वने तत्र शुभकर्मपरायणाः ।। वासं चक्रुरनेके च शिष्यभार्य्यासुतान्विताः।। ३२।।

sanskrit

The sages in the forest were engaged in auspicious rites. They stayed there along with their disciples, children and womenfolk.

english translation

RSayo'pi vane tatra zubhakarmaparAyaNAH || vAsaM cakruraneke ca ziSyabhAryyAsutAnvitAH|| 32||

धान्या नि वापयामासुः कालक्रमणहेतवे।। आनंदस्तद्वने ह्यासीत्प्रभावाद्गौतमस्य च ।। ३३ ।।

sanskrit

They sowed food-grains for their livelihood. There was great joy and bliss in that forest, thanks to the power of Gautama.

english translation
