एवमत्यद्भुताचाराच्छिवमाहात्म्यदर्शनात् ।। पौराणां सम्भ्रमाच्चैव सा रात्रिः क्षणतामगात् ।। ४८ ।।

On account of this wonderful event, this manifestation of the greatness of Śiva and the flutter in the midst of the citizens, the night elapsed as though it was only a moment.

english translation

evamatyadbhutAcArAcchivamAhAtmyadarzanAt || paurANAM sambhramAccaiva sA rAtriH kSaNatAmagAt || 48 ||
