देवादिप्रार्थनां तां च शिवाज्ञासंकुलां गुरुः ॥ न मेने स कुमारो हि महाहंकारविह्वलः ॥ ११ ॥
Agitated by great pride Kumāra did not care for the importunities of the gods and sages, intermingled with Śiva’s behest,
english translation
devAdiprArthanAM tAM ca zivAjJAsaMkulAM guruH ॥ na mene sa kumAro hi mahAhaMkAravihvalaH ॥ 11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततश्च पुनरावृत्य सर्वे ते हि शिवांतिकम् ॥ स्वंस्वं स्थानं गता नत्वा प्राप्य शंकरशासनम् ॥ १२॥
Then they returned again to Śiva. After bowing to him and taking leave of him they returned to their abodes.
english translation
tatazca punarAvRtya sarve te hi zivAMtikam ॥ svaMsvaM sthAnaM gatA natvA prApya zaMkarazAsanam ॥ 12॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतदा च गिरिजादेवी विरहं पुत्रसंभवम् ॥ शंभुश्च परमं दुःखं प्राप तस्मिन्ननागते ॥ १३ ॥
When he did not return, goddess Pārvatī felt severely the pangs of separation from her son. Śiva too was extremely miserable.
english translation
tadA ca girijAdevI virahaM putrasaMbhavam ॥ zaMbhuzca paramaM duHkhaM prApa tasminnanAgate ॥ 13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथो सुदुःखितौ दीनौ लोकाचारकरौ तदा ॥ जग्मतुस्तत्र सुस्नेहात्स्वपुत्रो यत्र संस्थितः ॥ १४ ॥
Grief-stricken and distressed following the conventions of the world, out of affection they went to the place where their son was.
english translation
atho suduHkhitau dInau lokAcArakarau tadA ॥ jagmatustatra susnehAtsvaputro yatra saMsthitaH ॥ 14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस पुत्रश्च कुमाराख्यः पित्रोरागमनं गिरेः ॥ ज्ञात्वा दूरं गतोऽस्नेहाद्योजनत्रयमेव च ॥ १५ ॥
Coming to know of the arrival of his parents, from the top of the mountain Kumāra went thirty-six kilometres further out of disregard for their love.

sa putrazca kumArAkhyaH pitrorAgamanaM gireH ॥ jJAtvA dUraM gato'snehAdyojanatrayameva ca ॥ 15 ॥
