सुब्रह्मण्य उवाच ॥ द्वादशाहे समुत्थाय प्रातः स्नात्वा कृताह्निकः ॥ शिवभक्तान्यतीन्वापि ब्राह्मणान्वा शिवप्रियान् ॥ १ ॥
Subramanya said:- On the twelfth day he got up in the morning and took a bath and performed his daily rituals Even the devotees of Lord Śiva or the brahmins who are dear to Lord Śiva.
english translation
subrahmaNya uvAca ॥ dvAdazAhe samutthAya prAtaH snAtvA kRtAhnikaH ॥ zivabhaktAnyatInvApi brAhmaNAnvA zivapriyAn ॥ 1 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविमन्त्र्य तान्समाहूय मध्याह्न चाप्लुताञ्छुचीन् ॥ विधिवद्भोजयेद्भक्त्या स्वाद्वन्नैर्विविधैश्शुभैः ॥ २ ॥
After consulting with them he summoned them and at noon they were cleansed With devotion one should feed them with tasty and auspicious foods of various kinds according to the prescribed rituals.

vimantrya tAnsamAhUya madhyAhna cAplutAJchucIn ॥ vidhivadbhojayedbhaktyA svAdvannairvividhaizzubhaiH ॥ 2 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसन्निधौ परमेशस्य पंचावरणमार्गतः ॥ पूजयेत्तस्य संस्थाप्य प्राणानायम्य वाग्यतः ॥ ३ ॥
In the presence of the Supreme Lord through the five covers One should worship him by establishing him, bowing his breath and controlling his speech.

sannidhau paramezasya paMcAvaraNamArgataH ॥ pUjayettasya saMsthApya prANAnAyamya vAgyataH ॥ 3 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमहासंकल्पमार्गेण संकल्प्यास्मद्गुरोरिह॥ पूजां करिष्य इत्युक्त्वा ततो दर्भानुस्पपृशेत्॥ ४ ॥
By the path of great resolution, resolve to be resolved here by our spiritual master. Having said this one should perform worship and then touch the darbha grass.

mahAsaMkalpamArgeNa saMkalpyAsmadguroriha॥ pUjAM kariSya ityuktvA tato darbhAnuspapRzet॥ 4 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपादौ प्रक्षाल्य चाचम्य स्वयं कर्ता च वाग्यतः ॥ स्थापयेदासने तान्वै प्राङ्मुखान्भस्मभूषितान् ॥ ५ ॥
He washed his feet and washed himself and the doer himself restrained his speech Place them on a seat facing east and adorned with ashes.
