Shiva Purana
प्रणवाष्टोत्तरशतं ब्रह्मभिः पञ्चभिः क्रमात् ॥ सद्यादीशान्तमप्यस्त्रं रक्षितं वर्मणा पुनः ॥ ३२ ॥
One hundred and eighty-eight oṁkāras by the five Brahmans in order. Even the weapon at the end of the present day was again protected by the shield.

praNavASTottarazataM brahmabhiH paJcabhiH kramAt ॥ sadyAdIzAntamapyastraM rakSitaM varmaNA punaH ॥ 32 ॥
