यो अ॑द्रि॒भित्प्र॑थम॒जा ऋ॒तावा॒ बृह॒स्पति॑राङ्गिर॒सो ह॒विष्मा॑न् । द्वि॒बर्ह॑ज्मा प्राघर्म॒सत्पि॒ता न॒ आ रोद॑सी वृष॒भो रो॑रवीति ॥ यो अद्रिभित्प्रथमजा ऋतावा बृहस्पतिराङ्गिरसो हविष्मान् । द्विबर्हज्मा प्राघर्मसत्पिता न आ रोदसी वृषभो रोरवीति ॥
Bṛhaspati, who is the breaker of the mountain, the first-born (of Prajāpati), the observer of truth, the descendant of Aṅgirasa, the partaker of the oblation, the traverser of two worlds, abiding in the region of light, is to us a father; he, the showerer, hunders and in heaven and earth.
english translation
जना॑य चि॒द्य ईव॑त उ लो॒कं बृह॒स्पति॑र्दे॒वहू॑तौ च॒कार॑ । घ्नन्वृ॒त्राणि॒ वि पुरो॑ दर्दरीति॒ जय॒ञ्छत्रूँ॑र॒मित्रा॑न्पृ॒त्सु साह॑न् ॥ जनाय चिद्य ईवत उ लोकं बृहस्पतिर्देवहूतौ चकार । घ्नन्वृत्राणि वि पुरो दर्दरीति जयञ्छत्रूँरमित्रान्पृत्सु साहन् ॥
Bṛhaspati, who has appointed a region for the man who attends diligently at divine worship, destroying impediments, conquering foes, overcoming enemies, demolished various cities (of the asuras).
english translation
बृह॒स्पति॒: सम॑जय॒द्वसू॑नि म॒हो व्र॒जान्गोम॑तो दे॒व ए॒षः । अ॒पः सिषा॑स॒न्त्स्व१॒॑रप्र॑तीतो॒ बृह॒स्पति॒र्हन्त्य॒मित्र॑म॒र्कैः ॥ बृहस्पतिः समजयद्वसूनि महो व्रजान्गोमतो देव एषः । अपः सिषासन्त्स्वरप्रतीतो बृहस्पतिर्हन्त्यमित्रमर्कैः ॥
This Bṛhaspati has conquered the treasures (of the enemy), and the spacious pastures with the cattle; purposing to appropriate he waters (of the firmament), he destroys with sacred prayers the adversary of heaven.
