हु॒वे व॑: सू॒नुं सह॑सो॒ युवा॑न॒मद्रो॑घवाचं म॒तिभि॒र्यवि॑ष्ठम् । य इन्व॑ति॒ द्रवि॑णानि॒ प्रचे॑ता वि॒श्ववा॑राणि पुरु॒वारो॑ अ॒ध्रुक् ॥ हुवे वः सूनुं सहसो युवानमद्रोघवाचं मतिभिर्यविष्ठम् । य इन्वति द्रविणानि प्रचेता विश्ववाराणि पुरुवारो अध्रुक् ॥
I invoke you, Agni, the son of strength, the youthful, the irreproachable, the very young; you who are wise, the sought of many, the merciful, who bestows treasures acceptable to all.
english translation
त्वे वसू॑नि पुर्वणीक होतर्दो॒षा वस्तो॒रेरि॑रे य॒ज्ञिया॑सः । क्षामे॑व॒ विश्वा॒ भुव॑नानि॒ यस्मि॒न्त्सं सौभ॑गानि दधि॒रे पा॑व॒के ॥ त्वे वसूनि पुर्वणीक होतर्दोषा वस्तोरेरिरे यज्ञियासः । क्षामेव विश्वा भुवनानि यस्मिन्त्सं सौभगानि दधिरे पावके ॥
Bright blazing Agni, invoker of the gods, to you the adorable deities have appropriated, by night and day, the riches (on the oblation); they have deposited in the purifer (Agni) all good things (agnau vāmam vasu sam nyadadhata: Taittirīya Saṃhitā 1.5.1.1), as they have plural ced all beings upon earth.
english translation
त्वं वि॒क्षु प्र॒दिव॑: सीद आ॒सु क्रत्वा॑ र॒थीर॑भवो॒ वार्या॑णाम् । अत॑ इनोषि विध॒ते चि॑कित्वो॒ व्या॑नु॒षग्जा॑तवेदो॒ वसू॑नि ॥ त्वं विक्षु प्रदिवः सीद आसु क्रत्वा रथीरभवो वार्याणाम् । अत इनोषि विधते चिकित्वो व्यानुषग्जातवेदो वसूनि ॥
You, abide from of old in these people, and by your deeds have been (to them) the conveyer of good things; thence, sage jātavedas, you bestow continually wealth upon the sacrificer.
english translation
यो न॒: सनु॑त्यो अभि॒दास॑दग्ने॒ यो अन्त॑रो मित्रमहो वनु॒ष्यात् । तम॒जरे॑भि॒र्वृष॑भि॒स्तव॒ स्वैस्तपा॑ तपिष्ठ॒ तप॑सा॒ तप॑स्वान् ॥ यो नः सनुत्यो अभिदासदग्ने यो अन्तरो मित्रमहो वनुष्यात् । तमजरेभिर्वृषभिस्तव स्वैस्तपा तपिष्ठ तपसा तपस्वान् ॥
Do you, protector of (your) friends, who are most resplendent, blazing with radiance, consume with your own imperishable flames him who injures us abiding in secret, or when near to us design us harm.
english translation
यस्ते॑ य॒ज्ञेन॑ स॒मिधा॒ य उ॒क्थैर॒र्केभि॑: सूनो सहसो॒ ददा॑शत् । स मर्त्ये॑ष्वमृत॒ प्रचे॑ता रा॒या द्यु॒म्नेन॒ श्रव॑सा॒ वि भा॑ति ॥ यस्ते यज्ञेन समिधा य उक्थैरर्केभिः सूनो सहसो ददाशत् । स मर्त्येष्वमृत प्रचेता राया द्युम्नेन श्रवसा वि भाति ॥
He who propitiates you, son of strenght, with sacrifice, with fuel, with prayers, with praises, shines immortal amongst men, eminent in wisdom and possessed of splendid opulence and (abundant) food.
