अ॒यं स्वा॒दुरि॒ह मदि॑ष्ठ आस॒ यस्येन्द्रो॑ वृत्र॒हत्ये॑ म॒माद॑ । पु॒रूणि॒ यश्च्यौ॒त्ना शम्ब॑रस्य॒ वि न॑व॒तिं नव॑ च दे॒ह्यो॒३॒॑ हन् ॥ अयं स्वादुरिह मदिष्ठ आस यस्येन्द्रो वृत्रहत्ये ममाद । पुरूणि यश्च्यौत्ना शम्बरस्य वि नवतिं नव च देह्यो हन् ॥
The savoury Soma, drunk on this occasion, has been most exhilarating; by drinking of it Indra has been elevated to the slaying of Vṛtra, and it has destroyed the numerous hosts of Śambara and the ninetynine cities.
