तम॑ग्ने पास्यु॒त तं पि॑पर्षि॒ यस्त॒ आन॑ट् क॒वये॑ शूर धी॒तिम् । य॒ज्ञस्य॑ वा॒ निशि॑तिं॒ वोदि॑तिं वा॒ तमित्पृ॑णक्षि॒ शव॑सो॒त रा॒या ॥ तमग्ने पास्युत तं पिपर्षि यस्त आनट् कवये शूर धीतिम् । यज्ञस्य वा निशितिं वोदितिं वा तमित्पृणक्षि शवसोत राया ॥
You cherish, you protect, Agni, that may who offers worship, hero, to you, the far-seeing; you reward with strength and with riches him (who undertakes) the instrumental tution, (who effects) the accomplishments of the sacrifice.
english translation
त्वम॑ग्ने वनुष्य॒तो नि पा॑हि॒ त्वमु॑ नः सहसावन्नव॒द्यात् । सं त्वा॑ ध्वस्म॒न्वद॒भ्ये॑तु॒ पाथ॒: सं र॒यिः स्पृ॑ह॒याय्य॑: सह॒स्री ॥ त्वमग्ने वनुष्यतो नि पाहि त्वमु नः सहसावन्नवद्यात् । सं त्वा ध्वस्मन्वदभ्येतु पाथः सं रयिः स्पृहयाय्यः सहस्री ॥
Protect us, Agni, from the malignant, preserve us, mighty one, from wickedness; may the offering come to you free from defects; may desirable riches, by your sands, (reach us).
english translation
अ॒ग्निर्होता॑ गृ॒हप॑ति॒: स राजा॒ विश्वा॑ वेद॒ जनि॑मा जा॒तवे॑दाः । दे॒वाना॑मु॒त यो मर्त्या॑नां॒ यजि॑ष्ठ॒: स प्र य॑जतामृ॒तावा॑ ॥ अग्निर्होता गृहपतिः स राजा विश्वा वेद जनिमा जातवेदाः । देवानामुत यो मर्त्यानां यजिष्ठः स प्र यजतामृतावा ॥
Agni, is the invoker of the gods, the lord of the house, the ruler, who knows all that is, knows all existing beings; he is the mos assiduous worshipper among gods or men; let him who is observant of truth offer worship.
english translation
अग्ने॒ यद॒द्य वि॒शो अ॑ध्वरस्य होत॒: पाव॑कशोचे॒ वेष्ट्वं हि यज्वा॑ । ऋ॒ता य॑जासि महि॒ना वि यद्भूर्ह॒व्या व॑ह यविष्ठ॒ या ते॑ अ॒द्य ॥ अग्ने यदद्य विशो अध्वरस्य होतः पावकशोचे वेष्ट्वं हि यज्वा । ऋता यजासि महिना वि यद्भूर्हव्या वह यविष्ठ या ते अद्य ॥
Agni, minister of the sacrifice, bright wiht purifying lustre, approve of that (worship) which is this day celebrated by the instrumental tutor of the rite; you verily are the sacrificer, therefore address the worship (to the gods); and since by your greatness you are all-pervading, therefore, youngest (of the gods), accept the oblations which are today (presented) to you.

अ॒भि प्रयां॑सि॒ सुधि॑तानि॒ हि ख्यो नि त्वा॑ दधीत॒ रोद॑सी॒ यज॑ध्यै । अवा॑ नो मघव॒न्वाज॑साता॒वग्ने॒ विश्वा॑नि दुरि॒ता त॑रेम॒ ता त॑रेम॒ तवाव॑सा तरेम ॥ अभि प्रयांसि सुधितानि हि ख्यो नि त्वा दधीत रोदसी यजध्यै । अवा नो मघवन्वाजसातावग्ने विश्वानि दुरिता तरेम ता तरेम तवावसा तरेम ॥
Look, Agni, upon the (sacrificial) viands duly deposited (upon the altar); heaven and earth detain you to sacrifice (to the gods); opulent Agni, protect us in battle, whereby we may pass safe over all evils; may we pass over those of a prior existence; may we pass over them by your protection.
