अग्ने॑ मृ॒ळ म॒हाँ अ॑सि॒ य ई॒मा दे॑व॒युं जन॑म् । इ॒येथ॑ ब॒र्हिरा॒सद॑म् ॥ अग्ने मृळ महाँ असि य ईमा देवयुं जनम् । इयेथ बर्हिरासदम् ॥
Agni, make us happy, for you are mighty, (you) who come to this devout man to sit down on the sacred grass.
english translation
agne॑ mR॒La ma॒hA~ a॑si॒ ya I॒mA de॑va॒yuM jana॑m । i॒yetha॑ ba॒rhirA॒sada॑m ॥ agne mRLa mahA~ asi ya ImA devayuM janam । iyetha barhirAsadam ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस मानु॑षीषु दू॒ळभो॑ वि॒क्षु प्रा॒वीरम॑र्त्यः । दू॒तो विश्वे॑षां भुवत् ॥ स मानुषीषु दूळभो विक्षु प्रावीरमर्त्यः । दूतो विश्वेषां भुवत् ॥
May that Agni, who is difficult to overcome, who is immortal, who is pre-eminent among men the descendants of Manu, becomes the messenger of all the gods.

sa mAnu॑SISu dU॒Labho॑ vi॒kSu prA॒vIrama॑rtyaH । dU॒to vizve॑SAM bhuvat ॥ sa mAnuSISu dULabho vikSu prAvIramartyaH । dUto vizveSAM bhuvat ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस सद्म॒ परि॑ णीयते॒ होता॑ म॒न्द्रो दिवि॑ष्टिषु । उ॒त पोता॒ नि षी॑दति ॥ स सद्म परि णीयते होता मन्द्रो दिविष्टिषु । उत पोता नि षीदति ॥
He is conveyed into the sacrificial hall as the Hotā to be adored at sacrifices, or as the Potā he sits down (on the sacred grass).

sa sadma॒ pari॑ NIyate॒ hotA॑ ma॒ndro divi॑STiSu । u॒ta potA॒ ni SI॑dati ॥ sa sadma pari NIyate hotA mandro diviSTiSu । uta potA ni SIdati ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउ॒त ग्ना अ॒ग्निर॑ध्व॒र उ॒तो गृ॒हप॑ति॒र्दमे॑ । उ॒त ब्र॒ह्मा नि षी॑दति ॥ उत ग्ना अग्निरध्वर उतो गृहपतिर्दमे । उत ब्रह्मा नि षीदति ॥
Agni may be the officiating priest at the sacrifice, or the master of the house in the sacrificial chamber, or he sits down as the Brahman.

u॒ta gnA a॒gnira॑dhva॒ra u॒to gR॒hapa॑ti॒rdame॑ । u॒ta bra॒hmA ni SI॑dati ॥ uta gnA agniradhvara uto gRhapatirdame । uta brahmA ni SIdati ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवेषि॒ ह्य॑ध्वरीय॒तामु॑पव॒क्ता जना॑नाम् । ह॒व्या च॒ मानु॑षाणाम् ॥ वेषि ह्यध्वरीयतामुपवक्ता जनानाम् । हव्या च मानुषाणाम् ॥
You, who are the director (of the ceremonial), accept the oblations of devoutly-worshipping men the descendants of Manu.
