ऋ॒तस्य॑ वा के॒शिना॑ यो॒ग्याभि॑र्घृत॒स्नुवा॒ रोहि॑ता धु॒रि धि॑ष्व । अथा व॑ह दे॒वान्दे॑व॒ विश्वा॑न्त्स्वध्व॒रा कृ॑णुहि जातवेदः ॥ ऋतस्य वा केशिना योग्याभिर्घृतस्नुवा रोहिता धुरि धिष्व । अथा वह देवान्देव विश्वान्त्स्वध्वरा कृणुहि जातवेदः ॥
Harness with traces, to your car, your long-maned, ruddy (steeds, to come) to the sacrifice; bring hither, divine Jātavedas, all the gods, and make them propitious to the oblation.
english translation
दि॒वश्चि॒दा ते॑ रुचयन्त रो॒का उ॒षो वि॑भा॒तीरनु॑ भासि पू॒र्वीः । अ॒पो यद॑ग्न उ॒शध॒ग्वने॑षु॒ होतु॑र्म॒न्द्रस्य॑ प॒नय॑न्त दे॒वाः ॥ दिवश्चिदा ते रुचयन्त रोका उषो विभातीरनु भासि पूर्वीः । अपो यदग्न उशधग्वनेषु होतुर्मन्द्रस्य पनयन्त देवाः ॥
When, Agni, you abide in the woods, consuming the waters at your plural asure, then your rays illuminate the heavens, and you shine like many former radiant dawns; the gods themselves commend (the brilliancy) of their praise-meriting invoker.
english translation
उ॒रौ वा॒ ये अ॒न्तरि॑क्षे॒ मद॑न्ति दि॒वो वा॒ ये रो॑च॒ने सन्ति॑ दे॒वाः । ऊमा॑ वा॒ ये सु॒हवा॑सो॒ यज॑त्रा आयेमि॒रे र॒थ्यो॑ अग्ने॒ अश्वा॑: ॥ उरौ वा ये अन्तरिक्षे मदन्ति दिवो वा ये रोचने सन्ति देवाः । ऊमा वा ये सुहवासो यजत्रा आयेमिरे रथ्यो अग्ने अश्वाः ॥
The deities who sport in the spacious (firmament); those who are in the luminous sphere of heaven; the adorable Umas, who come when worthily invoked; the horses, Agni, that are fit for your car.
english translation
ऐभि॑रग्ने स॒रथं॑ याह्य॒र्वाङ्ना॑नार॒थं वा॑ वि॒भवो॒ ह्यश्वा॑: । पत्नी॑वतस्त्रिं॒शतं॒ त्रीँश्च॑ दे॒वान॑नुष्व॒धमा व॑ह मा॒दय॑स्व ॥ ऐभिरग्ने सरथं याह्यर्वाङ्नानारथं वा विभवो ह्यश्वाः । पत्नीवतस्त्रिंशतं त्रीँश्च देवाननुष्वधमा वह मादयस्व ॥
With all these in one chariot, Agni, or in many (chariots), come to our presence, for your horses are able; bring the three and thirty divinities with their wives, for the sake of (the sacrificial) food, and exhilarate them (all with the Soma).
english translation
स होता॒ यस्य॒ रोद॑सी चिदु॒र्वी य॒ज्ञंय॑ज्ञम॒भि वृ॒धे गृ॑णी॒तः । प्राची॑ अध्व॒रेव॑ तस्थतुः सु॒मेके॑ ऋ॒ताव॑री ऋ॒तजा॑तस्य स॒त्ये ॥ स होता यस्य रोदसी चिदुर्वी यज्ञंयज्ञमभि वृधे गृणीतः । प्राची अध्वरेव तस्थतुः सुमेके ऋतावरी ऋतजातस्य सत्ये ॥
He is the invoker (of the gods), whom the spacious heaven and earth glorify, for the sake of increase, at repeated sacrifices; charged with water, they await like holy rites, propitious to the real presence of him who is born of truth.
