आ तू न॑ इन्द्र म॒द्र्य॑ग्घुवा॒नः सोम॑पीतये । हरि॑भ्यां याह्यद्रिवः ॥ आ तू न इन्द्र मद्र्यग्घुवानः सोमपीतये । हरिभ्यां याह्यद्रिवः ॥

sanskrit

Indra, wielder of the thunderbolt, come to me with your horses, when invoked to drink the Soma at our (sacrifice).

english translation

A tU na॑ indra ma॒drya॑gghuvA॒naH soma॑pItaye | hari॑bhyAM yAhyadrivaH || A tU na indra madryagghuvAnaH somapItaye | haribhyAM yAhyadrivaH ||

स॒त्तो होता॑ न ऋ॒त्विय॑स्तिस्ति॒रे ब॒र्हिरा॑नु॒षक् । अयु॑ज्रन्प्रा॒तरद्र॑यः ॥ सत्तो होता न ऋत्वियस्तिस्तिरे बर्हिरानुषक् । अयुज्रन्प्रातरद्रयः ॥

The invoking priest is seated at the proper season; the sacred grass woven together has been spread; the stones are plural ced in contact for the morning (libation).

sa॒tto hotA॑ na R॒tviya॑stisti॒re ba॒rhirA॑nu॒Sak | ayu॑jranprA॒taradra॑yaH || satto hotA na Rtviyastistire barhirAnuSak | ayujranprAtaradrayaH ||

Bearer of prayers, these prayers are offered (by us); sit down on the sacred grass; partake, hero, of the oblation.

Slayer of Vṛtra, Indra, who is gratified by praise, be plural ased with these our praises and prayers at our (daily) sacrifices.

Our praises caress the mighty Indra, the drinker of the Soma, as cows lick their calves.
