पू॒र्वीभि॒र्हि द॑दाशि॒म श॒रद्भि॑र्मरुतो व॒यम् । अवो॑भिश्चर्षणी॒नाम् ॥ पूर्वीभिर्हि ददाशिम शरद्भिर्मरुतो वयम् । अवोभिश्चर्षणीनाम् ॥
Enjoying the protection of you who behold all things, we have offered you, Maruts, (oblations) for many years.
english translation
सु॒भग॒: स प्र॑यज्यवो॒ मरु॑तो अस्तु॒ मर्त्य॑: । यस्य॒ प्रयां॑सि॒ पर्ष॑थ ॥ सुभगः स प्रयज्यवो मरुतो अस्तु मर्त्यः । यस्य प्रयांसि पर्षथ ॥
Maruts, who are to be especially worshipped, may the man whose offering you accept be ever prosperous.
english translation
श॒श॒मा॒नस्य॑ वा नर॒: स्वेद॑स्य सत्यशवसः । वि॒दा काम॑स्य॒ वेन॑तः ॥ शशमानस्य वा नरः स्वेदस्य सत्यशवसः । विदा कामस्य वेनतः ॥
Possessors of true vigour, be cognizant of the wishes of him who praises you, and toils in your service, desirous of (your favour).
english translation
यू॒यं तत्स॑त्यशवस आ॒विष्क॑र्त महित्व॒ना । विध्य॑ता वि॒द्युता॒ रक्ष॑: ॥ यूयं तत्सत्यशवस आविष्कर्त महित्वना । विध्यता विद्युता रक्षः ॥
Possessors of true vigour, you have displayed your might, with the lustre (of which) you have destroyed the rākṣasas.
english translation
गूह॑ता॒ गुह्यं॒ तमो॒ वि या॑त॒ विश्व॑म॒त्रिण॑म् । ज्योति॑ष्कर्ता॒ यदु॒श्मसि॑ ॥ गूहता गुह्यं तमो वि यात विश्वमत्रिणम् । ज्योतिष्कर्ता यदुश्मसि ॥
Dissipate the concealing darkness; drive away every devouring (foe); show us the light we long for.
