अ॒भि त्वा॒ गोत॑मा गि॒रा जात॑वेदो॒ विच॑र्षणे । द्यु॒म्नैर॒भि प्र णो॑नुमः ॥ अभि त्वा गोतमा गिरा जातवेदो विचर्षणे । द्युम्नैरभि प्र णोनुमः ॥
Knower and beholder of all that exists (jātanām veditaḥ). Gotama celebrates you, Agni, with praise; we praise you repeatedly with commendatory (hymns).
english translation
तमु॑ त्वा॒ गोत॑मो गि॒रा रा॒यस्का॑मो दुवस्यति । द्यु॒म्नैर॒भि प्र णो॑नुमः ॥ तमु त्वा गोतमो गिरा रायस्कामो दुवस्यति । द्युम्नैरभि प्र णोनुमः ॥
To you; that (Agni) whom Gotama, desirous of riches, worships with praise, we offer adoration with commendatory (hymns).
english translation
तमु॑ त्वा वाज॒सात॑ममङ्गिर॒स्वद्ध॑वामहे । द्यु॒म्नैर॒भि प्र णो॑नुमः ॥ तमु त्वा वाजसातममङ्गिरस्वद्धवामहे । द्युम्नैरभि प्र णोनुमः ॥
We invoke you, such as you are, the giver of abundant food, in like manner as did Aṅgiras; we praise you repeatedly with commendatory (hymns).
english translation
तमु॑ त्वा वृत्र॒हन्त॑मं॒ यो दस्यूँ॑रवधूनु॒षे । द्यु॒म्नैर॒भि प्र णो॑नुमः ॥ तमु त्वा वृत्रहन्तमं यो दस्यूँरवधूनुषे । द्युम्नैरभि प्र णोनुमः ॥
We praise you repeatedly with commendatory (hymns), who are the destroyer of Vṛtra, and who put the Dasyus to flight.
english translation
अवो॑चाम॒ रहू॑गणा अ॒ग्नये॒ मधु॑म॒द्वच॑: । द्यु॒म्नैर॒भि प्र णो॑नुमः ॥ अवोचाम रहूगणा अग्नये मधुमद्वचः । द्युम्नैरभि प्र णोनुमः ॥
The descendants of Rāhugaṇa have recited sweet speeches to Agni; we praise him repeatedly with commendatory (hymns).
