या न॒: पीप॑रदश्विना॒ ज्योति॑ष्मती॒ तम॑स्ति॒रः । ताम॒स्मे रा॑साथा॒मिष॑म् ॥ या नः पीपरदश्विना ज्योतिष्मती तमस्तिरः । तामस्मे रासाथामिषम् ॥
Aśvins, grant us that invigorating food which may satisfy us, having dispelled the gloom (of want).
english translation
आ नो॑ ना॒वा म॑ती॒नां या॒तं पा॒राय॒ गन्त॑वे । यु॒ञ्जाथा॑मश्विना॒ रथ॑म् ॥ आ नो नावा मतीनां यातं पाराय गन्तवे । युञ्जाथामश्विना रथम् ॥
Come as a ship, to bear us over an ocean of praises; harness, Aśvins, your car.
english translation
अ॒रित्रं॑ वां दि॒वस्पृ॒थु ती॒र्थे सिन्धू॑नां॒ रथ॑: । धि॒या यु॑युज्र॒ इन्द॑वः ॥ अरित्रं वां दिवस्पृथु तीर्थे सिन्धूनां रथः । धिया युयुज्र इन्दवः ॥
Your vessel, vaster than the sky, stops on the seashore; your chariot (waits on the land); the drops (of Soma) are expressed for yor worship.
english translation
दि॒वस्क॑ण्वास॒ इन्द॑वो॒ वसु॒ सिन्धू॑नां प॒दे । स्वं व॒व्रिं कुह॑ धित्सथः ॥ दिवस्कण्वास इन्दवो वसु सिन्धूनां पदे । स्वं वव्रिं कुह धित्सथः ॥
Kaṇvas (ask this of the Aśvins); (How) do the rays (of the sun proceed) from the sky? (How) does the dawn (rise) in the region of the waters? Where do you desire to manifest your own persons?
english translation
अभू॑दु॒ भा उ॑ अं॒शवे॒ हिर॑ण्यं॒ प्रति॒ सूर्य॑: । व्य॑ख्यज्जि॒ह्वयासि॑तः ॥ अभूदु भा उ अंशवे हिरण्यं प्रति सूर्यः । व्यख्यज्जिह्वयासितः ॥
There was light to irradiate the dawn; the sun (rose) like god; the fire shone with darkened flames.
