पु॒रु त्वा॑ दा॒श्वान्वो॑चे॒ऽरिर॑ग्ने॒ तव॑ स्वि॒दा । तो॒दस्ये॑व शर॒ण आ म॒हस्य॑ ॥ पुरु त्वा दाश्वान्वोचेऽरिरग्ने तव स्विदा । तोदस्येव शरण आ महस्य ॥
Presenting many offerings, I address you, Agni, ever coming into your presence (like a servant) in the dwelling of a mighty master.
english translation
व्य॑नि॒नस्य॑ ध॒निन॑: प्रहो॒षे चि॒दर॑रुषः । क॒दा च॒न प्र॒जिग॑तो॒ अदे॑वयोः ॥ व्यनिनस्य धनिनः प्रहोषे चिदररुषः । कदा चन प्रजिगतो अदेवयोः ॥
(I ask you also to withhold your favour) from (those) two godless (person ns), from the rich man, who acknowledging you not as his lord, is chary of gifts at sacred rites, and from him who rarely praises (the gods).
english translation
स च॒न्द्रो वि॑प्र॒ मर्त्यो॑ म॒हो व्राध॑न्तमो दि॒वि । प्रप्रेत्ते॑ अग्ने व॒नुष॑: स्याम ॥ स चन्द्रो विप्र मर्त्यो महो व्राधन्तमो दिवि । प्रप्रेत्ते अग्ने वनुषः स्याम ॥
Sage Agni, the mortal (who propitiates you) becomes a moon in heaven, the most eminent of the great (deities); may we, therefore, ever be in an especial manner your worshippers.
