कैलासं लङ्घयित्वाथ दशग्रीवः स रावणः । आससाद महातेजा इन्द्रलोकं निशाचरः ॥ 7-27-1 ॥
Then, having crossed over Mount Kailasa, the ten-necked Ravana of mighty splendor, that ranger of the night, arrived at the world of Indra.
english translation
तस्य राक्षससैन्यस्य समन्तादुपयास्यतः । देवलोकं ययौ शब्दो मथ्यमानार्णवोपमः ॥ 7-27-2 ॥
As that army of rakshasas advanced on every side, a din like that of the churning ocean rose up and reached the world of the gods.
english translation
श्रुत्वा तु रावणं प्राप्तमिन्द्रश्चलित आसनात् । अब्रवीत्तत्र तान् देवान् सर्वानेव समागतान् ॥ 7-27-3 ॥
Hearing that Ravana had come, Indra rose, shaken, from his throne, and addressed all the gods who were assembled there.
english translation
आदित्यान्सवसून्रुद्रान्विश्वान्साध्यान्मरुद्गणान् । सज्जीभवत युद्धार्थं रावणस्य दुरात्मनः ॥ 7-27-4 ॥
You Adityas, Vasus, Rudras, Vishvas, Sadhyas, and hosts of the Maruts, make yourselves ready for battle against the evil-souled Ravana."
english translation
एवमुक्तास्तु शक्रेण देवाः शक्रसमा युधि । सन्नह्य सुमहासत्त्वा युद्धश्रद्धासमन्विताः ॥ 7-27-5 ॥
Thus addressed by Indra, the gods, who were equal to Indra in battle, beings of very great might, girded themselves and were filled with eagerness for the fight.
